Fortunately, he's started to get used to it, and answers his phone.]

I don't yet. I've only used the ones at the training ground.

[ Now when he's just chillin' on the roof, nope. He's not a spiderman ]

I see... I'll try to arrange something for you. [ Not sure where or how but that's part of his responsibility right? ]

[You could at least invite him up.]

Ah, I can find something! I'm sure you're busy. [with dealing with your troublesome shinki.]

Nah, I'm just enjoying the weather on the roof. [ that's hardly busy ]

[Archer knocks on the door to Lancer's room]

Lancer, do you have a moment?

[Lancer opens the door.]

I do, Archer. What can I help you with?

Caster asked me to make weapons for us all. I have a few training spears made, can you check these to see which suits you best?

[Archer made more than a few training weapons just to test the limit of his reinforcement skill.]

[irishfriskey]

...Thank you.

[Even if none of them suits him well enough, he's more than thankful he even went out of his way to make him some weapons.]

I'd be more than pleased to. Which ones do you want me to try?

I do. I'll be up shortly.

[And like that, he makes his way up to the roof. Standing behind his god.]

You wanted to see me, Mister Caster?

Follow me.

[Archer leads him downstairs, where, close to the entrance, is a rack now filled with various weapons - mostly training ones, but there are also several real ones. Spears, bows, swords of varying length and size. Spears range from the short ones to the one slightly longer than Gáe Bolg.]

Chose one or two that feel right, and I'll use them as a reference to craft and strenghten a real weapon for you. Those, [he touches one of several identical spears.] I've made for Caster, using Gáe Bolg as reference. Feel free to try whichever you want.

Yeah, there's something of related to my earlier inquiry.

[ He pats the place next to him, if Lancer wanted to sit, instead of standing there ]

I've heard there's some redhead picking fights around the Heavens. [ And by picking fights he means mauling people with a chainsaw, which is absolutely something that sounds interesting ] Just wanted to make sure everyone got a weapon, you know, just in case.

H[ He got absolute faith that Lancer could handle any threat thrown his way, but it's... kind of hard being a Lancer without a lance. Which is why it's a simple "taking care of what shinki might need" responsibility, instead of a warning. ]

I see.

[He looks over them... really, only looking at the spears.]

You're very talented.

[He grabs one of the spears, the one longer than Gáe Bolg. However, he also grabs a smaller spear, holding both of them.]

Can I test them out?

[Instead of replying Archer grabs two training swords that resemble his favoured weapons and goes outside.]

Let's take it outside.

[One of the dogs that's sleeping outside opens one eye and thumps its tail in greeting.]

Lead the way.

[He does follow right behind, spinning his spear.

And stops to pet the dog nicely. Because he can't help himself.]

They feel good, but without testing, it's worth nothing.

[hey he didn't say anything about the mister, maybe he's okay iwth it now.]

I see. [He moves closer to slowly sit down beside him, looking towards him.

Is that a shine in his eye? It may be a shine in his eye.]

If it's any sort of help, I find using two is better than one for me. But I will leave it to you.

[It's better than a warning. Now he will have something he can use.]

[ Maybe he resigned himself to his fate - as usual - or is waiting to strike back about the "mister" at some point ]

Two spears you say... [ Ah yes, that glint in the eye - he gets it. Spears are awesome. He wouldn't use two - because there is only one Gáe Bolg as far as he knows - but the concept itself does sound interesting. ] Got it. But I want a demonstration when you get them.

[ He's dying to try himself against a two-spears wielder- "too bad he's not a Lancer" meta strikes again ]

[What's so wrong about saying mister anyways.]

You will! I want to train against you when I have the pair of them again. [He's impressed by Caster's immediate skill when they first trained. Why not continue to train against him.] If you're interested in doing it, of course.

[The dogs are fluffy and loving, but seeing both of them with weapons means it's training time, not playtime. So it's a bit more of tail thumping and happy dog noises.]

I agree. [Archer gets a good distance away from the temple so they won't damage anything.] Whenever you're ready.

[Happy dog noises are good dog noises, and Lancer sounds very pleased indeed.

When they're far away enough, he gives one spear a spin... before kicking off from the ground and flying towards Archer.]

[Archer is ready but that's fast. He barely manages to block the upcoming strike. He has to remember that Lancer is dual wielder just like he himself, and take it into account. Blocking one spear and diverting the other is no easy task, not against someone with superior speed. He adds a low, sweeping kick for a good measure and flips backwards, already anticipating several possible attacks coming.]

[Lancer quickly jumps over the kick when it comes in, before sliding in close again and giving a fast swing to the side. The other spear goes directly for Archer's face, knowing that the man will block it.

At least, he hopes so. Or he has to explain to Mister Caster why Archer has a giant spear through his skull.]

[Good thing is that they're using a training weapons, bad thing is that even training weapons can cause injuries.

Archer manages to block the hit coming to his face, but the other he catches a second too late. Bruised ribs won't stop him, though, and he counterattacks with two fast low slashes.

Fighting a dual wielder, and someone as fast as Lancer is, is a challenge he does enjoy a lot. It forces him to hone and challenge his skills. What are some bruises compared to that.]

[ It suggests he's like a responsible adult and/or authority figure ]

Are you kidding...? Of course, I am! I've never tested myself against someone dual wielding spears. And I tested myself against plenty of warriors.

[ Most of them died as a side-effect though ]

So, are they both shorter than a usual one, or what?

[He blocks the counter attacks with the lower ends of the spears before moving one around to hit him on the back.

Lancer is quick. That doesn't mean that he can't be overwhelmed, but Archer isn't overwhelming him just yet.

Oh, but he'll enjoy it when he does. Smirking, he uses his leg to try and kick away one of the swords he's using.]
